About Midland Area Youth Football The Midland Area Youth Football League (MAYFL) is an instructional focused football program for boys and girls ages 8 to 13 who reside in the mid-Michigan area. We offer three divisions (Prep, Junior and Senior) structured to balance the weight, age, and maturity levels of players. Additional division details can be found in the Rules section of the website. Our mission is to not only teach kids the fundamentals of football, but to teach the values of sportsmanship and teamwork and promote self-esteem and confidence in young players. While play is competitive, and the will to win important, our focus is on instruction and development, not championships. Most games are played on Saturday mornings at the Northeast Intermediate School in Midland through the September-October season, with additional night games at Central Middle School and various high school stadiums. We are 501c3 non-profit organization with funding solely through registration fees, fundraising activities, and sponsorship fees.
